Windom’s Pineapple Posse of Dylan Serreyn, Ethan Brockman and Carter Allen formed an alliance with Storm Robotics C Team from Sauk Rapids to take second place in the Windom VEX Robotics Tournament held Saturday at Windom Area Middle High School.
It was Windom’s first full, in-person tournament of the season, playing the game Change Up.
Windom’s Pineapple Posse team captured runner-up honors after going 7-0 in qualification matches. The Southland Rebelbots also went 7-0, while two other Southland teams went 6-1.
The Pineapple Posse formed an alliance with Storm Robotics C from Sauk Rapids and won their quarterfinal match 36-6 and their semifinal match 29-12 over an alliance that included
Windom’s A team of Philip Ackerman and Keith Swenson.
In the title match, the Posse/Storm C duo fell to the Rebelbots/Roverbots alliance 22-16.
