Fundraising is off to a strong start for a new shelter that may be coming to Tegels Park on Cottonwood Lake.
Erik Haken of the Windom Lions Club reports that, so far, more than $36,000 has been raised for the proposed 60×80 shelter, which could cost as much as $100,000 and would face the lake. It could be enclosed on three sides (with large sliding side doors) and includes a stage for bands, outdoor worship services and various other events.
