Phase 1a vaccinations are completed in Cottonwood and Jackson counties.
That’s the official word from Evelyn Schaeffer, public health director of Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services.
But the vaccinations haven’t stopped there. Schaeffer reported Monday that a vaccination clinic on Friday administered vaccines to another 150 people, including 10 remaining people a part of Phase 1a.
The first 140 people in Phase 1b, oldest to youngest, also were vaccinated, which included two people 100 years or older. These were the 140 oldest people who were on the DVHHS Registration Survey List as of Jan. 15.
DVHHS will continue vaccinating oldest to youngest as the vaccine becomes available, while updating the list weekly.
