Mt. Lake City Council votes to slash liquor license fees

The Den in Mt. Lake will get a little help in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to restaurant closures in 2020, as mandated by Gov. Tim Walz’s executive orders on a couple of occasions, the council approved lowering the on-sale liquor license fee from $400 to $200 in 2021.

Because The Den is the only establishment in Mt. Lake with an on-sale license, it will see its fee cut in half as COVID-19 lingers into the new year.
