The deadline is Friday Windom residents to apply for the lone vacant city council seat — and so far only two have applied.
At last night’s regular meeting, Mayor Dominic Jones reminded the public that they can apply by dropping off information about themselves at Windom City Hall.
Because it is an alderman-at-large position, residents from anywhere in the city can apply immediately to fill the final year of JoAnn Ray’s council term.
The application period runs until 5 p.m. on Friday and the council expects to make a decision at its Feb. 2 meeting.
