County board approved five-year road, bridge plan

Cottonwood County Commissioners approved the county’s five-year plan for road and bridge improvements at Tuesday’s meeting.

Highway Engineer Nick Klisch stated that major county highway projects in the next five years include plans to upgrade County Road 7 between Highway 62 and County Road 13 this summer. The county plans a major renovation project for County Road 2 in 2022, with a significant project on County Road 10 east of Highway 71 planned for 2025.

Perhaps the most significant bridge project in the five-year plan is the replacement of the County Road 15 bridge near the Windom Country Club, which is scheduled for 2025.
