Windom Chamber’s top rookie feels at home outdoors

When someone asked what he loves about his work, Richard Barnett, the Windom Chamber’s Rookie of the Year award winner, didn’t hesitate.

“I love the outdoors,” he said.

Barnett’s business, Barnett Pro Care launched in November of 2019. Barnett, a Windom resident, is not only the owner, he is the entire workforce.

“Instead of building someone else’s dream, I wanted to build my own,” Barnett said.

This time of year, the business is heavily focused on snow removal. However, it handles a wide range of tasks, including winterizing cabins, lawn service, thatching, edging, washing houses, you name it.
