It isn’t often Windom police receive a report of a stolen car, especially on a weekend afternoon.
So, police took this past Sunday’s report seriously and carefully investigated the matter. To their surprise, police learned that the car was in Windom, tucked away safe and sound — in a local impound lot.
Upon investigation, police learned that the vehicle had been illegally parked during the Dec. 29 snow emergency and had been towed away.
