Last week, a late-afternoon customer at McDonald’s caused quite a stir and sparked a report by Windom police regarding counterfeit bills.
A McDonald’s employee reported that a man at the drive-up window tried to pay with a counterfeit $20 bill. When the manager was called over to look at the bill, the motorist drove off without his food.
Cases such as these are typically turned over to federal officials.
