Windom Area Health will receive an allotment of the Pfizer vaccination Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine next week.
The Pfizer vaccine received emergency approval from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration on Dec. 11th.
“We have been working with the Minnesota Department of Health, the Southwest Healthcare Preparedness Coalition, and local Public Health on identifying those healthcare workers who would be in the initial phase of vaccination,” said Emily Masters, chief human relations officer at WAH.
WAH plans to perform vaccinations on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday, depending upon the number of doses received in our allotment.
