Idabeth Amundson, 95, of Windom died Jan. 5, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A Celebration of Life service was Tuesday at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Hank Campbell and Larry Amundson officiating.
Reader was Mikenna Wolff.
Special music was provided by Dustin Stevens, pianist; and Jordan Bussa, vocalist.
Casket bearers were Shane Burmeister, Brandon Burmeister, John Mark Amundson, Thomas Amundson, Joseph Amundson and Jeffrey Amundson.
Honorary bearers were Natalie Burmeister, Linne Gherdovich, Laura Amundson, Jessica Lamphere, Katrina Amundson and Mikenna Wolff.
Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom.
Idabeth Olson was born July 13, 1922, to Victor E. and Edna Dorothea (Nelson) Olson in St. James. She was baptized and later confirmed at West Svedahl near St. James.
Idabeth received her education in St. James Public Schools, graduating in 1940.
In her earlier years, Idabeth worked at 313 in St. James where she met Archie Fern Amundson and were later married. They raised six children and farmed the family farm near Windom for 17 years before moving into Windom in 1963.
Idabeth worked as a cook for 22 years in the Winfair Elementary School cafeteria.
Archie died in 1984 and in 2010, Idabeth moved to Mikkelsen Manor in Windom. In 2015, she became a resident at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A longtime member of American Lutheran Church in Windom, Idabeth was involved with circle, ladies aid, funeral committees, sewing days and lefse making.
She also was a member of the neighborhood birthday and bridge clubs for over 50 years an volunteered at the sharing center and meal site in Windom.
In addition to her husband Archie, Idabeth was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Wolff in 2005; brothers, Kenneth and Emmett Olson; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Flogstad, Gordan Aas, James Amundson and Phillip Keyes; and sisters-in-law, Tina Olson, Bernice Amundson, Bertha Keyes and Margaret Aas.
Survivors include her six children: Vicki (Terry) Burmeister and Mark (Sue) Amundson, all of Windom; Larry (Ellen) Amundson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Daniel (Linda) Amundson of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Bruce (Kathy) Amundson of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; and Jill Wolff of Burnsville; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janette Flogstad of Burnsville; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Olson of St. James.
