Diane Handy, 69, of Windom died Jan. 2, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
A memorial service will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m., at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom with Pastor Paul Sajban officiating.
Special music will be provided by Ruth Wohlfeil, organist.
Honorary bearers will be Diane's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at a later date at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Okabena.
Visitation will be held today from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the church in Windom.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom is handling the funeral arrangements.
Diane J. Preuss was born June 17, 1948, to Lloyd Henry Albert and Agnes Marie (Hochstein) Preuss in Heron Lake. She received her early education in Heron Lake Public Schools before graduating from Jeffers High School in 1966. She furthered her education at Jackson Vo-Tech.
In 1967, Diane married Raymond W. Handy at St. John's Lutheran Church in Okabena. They lived in Dundee before moving to Windom in 2006.
Diane worked at Heron Lake Nursing Home, McDonald's and as a foster grandparent until May 2017, when she retired.
Diane was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom.
She was preceded in death by an infant son.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ray Handy of Windom; two sons, Matthew (Cindy) Handy of Worthington and David (Kimberly) Handy of Florida; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joann (Al) Johnson of Hastings.
