Deloris "Fritzie" Hagen, 65, of St. James died Sept. 2, 2017, at her home after complications of ovarian cancer.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at First Lutheran Church in St. James with Rev. Maggie Cumings officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Sturm Funeral Home of St. James is handling the funeral arrangements.
Fritzie Marie Seely was born April 7, 1952, to Ernest Bryant and Louise Seely. She was the youngest of their children.
After graduating from St. James High School in 1971, she attended Rochester Vocational School to become a dental assistant.
Fritzie married Mark Hagen and over their 43 years together, they were blessed with three children, and made their lifelong home in St. James.
Fritzie worked as a dental assistant until the birth of her first child. She changed careers several times until finding her calling and passion as a massage therapist. In 1988, she brought massage therapy to St. James. She continued her practice until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2015.
Fritzie also had a passion for caring for the elderly and enjoyed working with them at Brandt Ridge Assisted Living.
Fritzie will be remembered for putting others before herself and always being the first to volunteer, bring food or offer a free massage. She made friends easily.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, LeRoy Seely; step-mother, Marilyn Bryant; and dogs: Jack, Oscar and Art.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Mark Hagen; daughters, Jessica (Shawn) Frehner and Cara (Jeffrey) Bertot; son, Luke (Chrissy) Hagen; three grandchildren; sisters, Sandie (Tom) Kratz and Nancy (Gary) Hamer; and dog, Annie.
