Janice Coulter, 76, of Lamberton died June 30, 2017, at her home in Lamberton.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton with Pastor Mark Jamison officiating.
Interment will be at Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton and continue Saturday at the church for one hour prior to services.
Sturm Funeral Home of Lamberton is handling the funeral arrangements.
Janice Karen Graff was born Aug. 2, 1940, to Robert A. and Ethel (Erickson) Graff at her home in Highwater Township of Cottonwood County. She was baptized and confirmed at Highwater Lutheran Church in rural Lamberton.
After attending District 38 Country School, Janice graduated from Lamberton High School in 1958. She attended Minneapolis School of Business.
In 1960, Janice returned to Lamberton and worked as a secretary at the Lamberton School.
In 1962, Janice married Merle "Moe" Coulter at Highwater Lutheran Church. Moe and Janice farmed and raised their family north of Lamberton. She also worked at Handi-Mart and Valley View Manor Nursing Home.
Janice enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, working in the field, mowing lawn, playing cards, getting together with relatives, friends and classmates, and spending time with her family at Lake Mary for an annual vacation. She also enjoyed volunteering at church, the area food shelf and the Legion Auxiliary.
She will be remembered for her strong faith, wittiness and kindheartedness. She also enjoyed baking for others and sharing her caramel rolls, tea rings and chocolate chip cookies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Coulter in 2012; sister, Arliss Quiring; brothers, Bob Graff and Roger Graff; brothers-in-law, Arlo Mattison and Donald Quiring; and son-in-law, Pat Anderson.
Survivors include her children: Kari (Bob) Halter and Jeff (fiance Elise) Coulter, all of Lamberton; Tammy Schenk of Sleepy Eye; Jodi (John) Smith of Jeffers; and Jacki Anderson of Hoffman; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister and brothers: Shirley Mattison and Gary (Diane) Graff, all of Lamberton; Bruce (Elona) Graff of Minneapolis; and Richard (Joanne) Graff of LeSueur; and sisters-in-law: Joyce Graff and Edie Coulter of Lamberton and Bonnie Graff of Montana.
