Mark Axford, 65, of Fosston died April 9, 2017, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom with Pastor Paul Magelssen officiating.
Special music will be provided by Dustin Stevens, pianist.
Casket bearers will be Todd Kipfer, Kevin Taylor, Eric Ward, Lowell Bierman, Paul Buhler and Floyd Axford.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom.
Mark Alan Axford was born Jan. 23, 1952, to William "Bill" and Shirley (Borchardt) Axford in Windom. He was baptized and later confirmed at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom.
In 1968, Mark moved with his family to Rochester where he graduated from Mayo High School in 1970. He then attended Control Data in the Twin Cities.
In 1985, Mark married Tamera Stevens in Windom. They lived in Annandale for 19 years before settling on a farm in Fosston. Mark worked as a computer engineer for Data 100 and Northern Telecom for 20 years.
Mark and Tammy ran MT Cupboards for 23 years and also raised English springer spaniels for 22 years. For the past few years Mark owned an online auction company, Winning-bidder.com.
Mark was a longtime member of the Fosston Sportsman's Club, NW Metal Smiths and Lake Itasca Pioneer Farmers Steam Show.
An avid hunter, Mark enjoyed bow and black powder hunting. He also enjoyed playing cards, checking his trail cameras daily, looking up genealogy (he was a history buff), talking with people and sharing his knowledge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Phillip Axford, Sr.; a niece, Lynn Thurwanger; and a nephew, Joshua Weidert.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Axford of Windom; three sisters: Wendy (Timothy) Sursely of Rochester, Pamela (Steven) Fetzek of Lakeville and Rebecca (Joe) Weidert of Austin; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Axford of Clear Lake; and three adult children from a previous marriage: Kelly, Michelle and William.
