Bette Florine, 83, of Windom died March 28, 2013, at her home in Windom.
Services were Monday at First Baptist Church in Windom with Rev. Gary Wiens officiating.
Special music was provided by Millie Blackstad, pianist; and Rev. Gary Wiens, vocalist.
Casket bearers were Paul Roggow, Kent Johnson, Craig Peterson, Dana Fast, Darin Motz, David Schmidt and Brendan Roggow.
Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Jackson.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Bette June Gerrish was born June 28, 1929, to William and Lillian (Johnson) Gerrish. She grew up on the family farm near Hastings.
In 1948, Bette married LeRoy "Bud" Florine in Red Wing.
She worked for several companies over the years, including an insurance company, an employment agency, a property management company and Rose of Sharon Nursing Home.
She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, gardening, cooking, crafting, reading, fishing, tea parties with her grandchildren, and opera.
She also loved her pets, especially her cat "Sneakers."
One of the highlights in her life was a trip to the Holy Land with Bridges for Peace. She will be remembered for her faith in God.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas and Loren Gerrish; and sisters, Muriel Gratz and Jean Gerrish.
Survivors include her husband, LeRoy "Bud" Florine of Windom; a son, Jim (Bonnie) Florine of Deer River; daughters: Janet (Kent) Florine of Deer River, Linda (Paul) Roggow of Jackson and Heather (Craig) Peterson of St. Louis Park; two grandchildren; and two step-granddaughters.
