Lucille C. Roesner, 95, of Windom died Jan. 30, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
Services were Monday at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom with Pastor Paul Sajban officiating.
Special music was provided by Ruth Wohlfeil, organist; and Daryl Tasler, vocalist.
Casket bearers were Matthew Kasper, Scott Kasper, Wade Roesner, Luke Mathison, Kevin Roesner and Rod Odell.
Honorary bearers were Marilyn Reese, Kristi Wilner, Paige Will, Stacy Heather, Terri Odell and Shellie Bredesen.
Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Lakefield.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Lucille C. Rossow was born Feb. 15, 1917, to Albert August and Charlotte (Kuhnau) Rossow in Delafield Township of Jackson County. She was baptized and later confirmed. Lucille received her education in rural school District 66.
In 1939, Lucille married Howard "Dick" Roesner at the Delafield parsonage. They farmed in Belmont Township of Jackson County. Lucille also worked for 20 years as a therapist at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom until retiring in 1980.
In 1986, Dick and Lucille moved to Windom. Dick died in 1988. Lucille became a resident of Sogge Memorial in Windom in 2012.
Lucille was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom.
She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardens, spending time in Northern Minnesota, traveling in their motor home in retirement, fishing and spending time with family.
In addition to her husband Dick, Lucille was preceded in death by two sons, Lyle and Darvin Roesner; three brothers: Alvin, Clarence and Harold; and three sisters: Dorothy, Anita and Myrtle.
Survivors include her four children: Roland (Joanne) Roesner of Windom, Arlen (Jan) Roesner of Willmar, Diane (Ronald) Mathison of Sioux Falls and Carmyn (HP "Bud") Christopherson of Prior Lake; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marietta Fink of Windom.
