Clement "Buddy" Vandermoon, 84, of Lamberton, formerly of Jeffers, died Dec. 19, 2012, at Mayo Health Systems in Springfield.
Memorial services were Saturday at 11 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom with Father Russell Scepaniak officiating.
Special music was provided by Colleen Ortmann, organist; and Mike Foley, vocalist.
Interment with full military honors was at Jeffers Cemetery in rural Jeffers.
Clement "Buddy" Vandermoon was born Nov. 14, 1928, to Early Henry and Margaret (Backus) Vandermoon in Jeffers. He received his education in Jeffers Public Schools before enlisting in the U.S. Army.
After receiving his honorable discharge, Buddy lived in the Twin Cities. He worked as a landscaper for R.J. Jordan and Sons in Minneapolis until his retirement. He then moved back to Jeffers.
About five years ago, Buddy entered Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Lamberton.
Buddy was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom and Odegaard-Quade American Legion in Jeffers.
He enjoyed playing cards and visiting.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard, Vernon and Leslie.
Survivors include his five siblings: Mavis Ratzlaff of Windom, Annabel (Richard) Jordan and Romona Jordan, all of Robbinsdale, Mary Ann Meyer and Viola Weber, both of Jeffers.
