Diane Holt, 73, of rural Windom died Dec. 22, 2012, at her home.
Services were Thursday at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Tim Wrenn officiating.
Special music was provided by Kim Bartholomew, organist; Shelly Holt and Melissa Haugh, vocalists.
Casket bearers were Jeff Spielman, Mike Spielman, Jim Johnson, Kevin Knutson, Steve Clark and Steve Theesfeld.
Honorary bearers were Diane's grandchildren.
Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Diane Avis Benson was born Sept. 30, 1939, to Earl and Avis (Spielman) Benson in Windom. She was baptized and confirmed at American Lutheran Church in Windom. She graduated from Windom Public Schools in 1958.
In 1958, Diane married Richard "Zeke" Holt at American Lutheran Church in Windom. They farmed and raised two sons together. Diane was a homemaker most of her married life. Later, she worked many years as a paraprofessional at Highland Elementary School in Windom until retiring in 2001.
Diane was a longtime member of American Lutheran Church in Windom.
She was a caregiver to many and took pride and joy in her sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Zeke" Holt, who died five days before Diane's death.
Survivors include her two sons, Jeff (Shelly) Holt of Mapleton and Greg (Julie) Holt of Windom; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
