Ernstina Baerg, 85, of Bingham Lake died July 29, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society in Jackson.
Services were Saturday at LaCanne Family Funeral Service in Windom with Pastor Michael Reider officiating.
Special music was provided by Julie Nieneier, organist.
Casket bearers were Christopher Cain, Travis Cain, Mark Oeltjenbruns, Glen Wiens, Dick Wiens, Calvin Baerg and Berdon Baerg.
Interment was at Voth Cemetery in rural Delft.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Ernstina Jullina Wiens was born July 14, 1927, to Jacob J. and Ernstina (Pankratz) Wiens in Carson Township of Cottonwood County. She received her education in District 16 Country School in South Carson Township and later attended and graduated from Minnehaha Academy.
In 1953, Ernstina married Bernhard Baerg in Delft. Over the years, she worked for Fingerhut, Butterfield Foods, Windom Hospital and The Toro Company before retiring.
A former member of Women's Circle at First Mennonite Church in Mt. Lake, Ernstina also sang in the church choir. She also was a member of the Senior Citizen Center in Bingham Lake and a sewing circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernhard; two sons, Bruce and Carl David Baerg; five brothers: Alex, Menno, Jacob, Marvin and Ben Wiens; two sisters, Linda Peters and Elma Hegberg; and an infant sister, Viola Baerg.
Survivors include her three children: DeWayne (Imelda) Baerg of Bingham Lake, Lois (Tim) Cain of Alpha and Joyce (Harold Jr.) King of Rochester; and six grandchildren.
