Last week I wrote about the new Creators Update from Microsoft. The name conjures up several images. However, the reasoning behind the name is a new feature called 3D Paint. 3D Paint is a program that allows you to create 3D images. According to the Microsoft website, "With 3D, we can communicate ideas and express ourselves better, and learn faster because it's much more representative of the world we live in. The 3D industry is estimated to grow by over 62 percent by 2020, and we want to empower everyone to experience, create and share in 3D with the Creators Update." Hmm. Okay. Sounds interesting. I'm sure if I was younger and wanted to waste many more hours on the computer I might find it a reason for getting a new update on my computer. It's a good thing that there are some other features that make the update worthwhile to me. Some of them include: New and improved Cortana features. Download Windows 10 themes from Store. Read aloud mode for e-books in Edge. New options for Windows Update and Share. Redesigned camera app. Show or hide app list in the Start Menu. Storage Sense setting automatically frees up space. Troubleshooting option in Settings. Windows Defender and security improvements. Windows update improvements including no reinstalls on removed applications. Pause Windows Updates for up to 35 days. I will be curious to experience the new and improved Creators Update. Do you suppose my employer will let me test the 3D Paint for a week or two?
