Windows 10 updates can be heaven or hell. Under the right circumstances updates will go smoothly and your computer will be safer after doing them. Those right circumstances are: You have a good Internet connection. You have a newer computer. You leave your computer on at all times. You have time to wait during a large update. Congratulations, your computer is in update heaven. Under the wrong circumstances your computer ends up in update hell. Those circumstances include the opposites of the heavenly circumstances listed above, but include others as well: Your computer has existing software issues. Your computer is older and the hardware doesn't support the newer version upgrades. You are impatient and shut down your computer at the wrong times. I'm sorry to tell you that your computer is in update hell. Your computer, in its present condition, cannot leave this hell. Just like you cannot avoid going to heaven or hell, you cannot avoid your computer's updates. The Microsoft god says you must have these. As in real life and death the best you can do is delay them. When this happens there are usually only a few things you can do with your computer. You can use it as a boat anchor and get a new computer or you can reset or reinstall Windows. Your answer to this question depends on the age and condition of your computer. If your computer finds its way into computer hell, give us a call. We can help.
