Ivory-billed coots have adapted and survive
They call them mud hens and crazy old coot is an occasionally used description of a harmless simpleton. But, the fact is, those ivory-billed coots are really a highly adapted survivalist.

Ten inches of wet snow stopped the migration
Or, what happened to the robins during the recent blizzard?
I really don't know where the American robin's went during the heavy wet snow we had March 23 to 24. We were really in the midst of a major migration of the much loved member of the thrush family, usually considered a good sign of spring.
