Luverne 31-35 = 66 Windom 23-36 = 59 Luverne finished the game strong Tuesday night, claiming a 66-59 win over the Windom boys basketball team at Windom.
Luverne led by eight at halftime, but the Eagles battled back, taking the lead at 50-46 with just over six minutes to play. From that point, Luverne went on a 20-9 run to close the game and claim its first Big South Conference win of the season.
Luke Gilbertson led the Eagles with 21 points. Kobe Lovell added 17.
RRC 15-37 = 52 Springfield 27-33 = 60 A second-half rally by Red Rock Central gave the state's second-ranked Class A team a scare Tuesday, but Springfield was able to escape with a 60-52 victory at Springfield.
RRC trailed by 12 at halftime but the Falcons shot a sizzling 72 percent from two-point range in the second half. But Springfield capitalized on 15 offensive rebounds and was able to cling to the victory.
Spencer Halland led RRC with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Brady Rasmussen added 10 points and eight assists.
