MCC 25-22-12 = 0
Windom 27-25-25 = 3

The Windom Eagle volleyball team dug out of a deep hole to start the first set, storming back from a double-digit deficit, then going on to claim a 3-0 sweep over Murray County Central in the Section 3A Playoffs at Worthington.

MCC led 14-5 and 18-6 in the first set. The Eagles eventually clawed back, closing the deficit to 21-15, then drawing even at 21-21. Long service runs by Mareah Carlson, Paige Pigman and Porsha Porath helped the Eagles close the deficit. The Eagles eventually closed out the set at 27-25 behind a kill by Becca Hacker and an error by MCC.

The second set was also back-and-forth, with the Eagles holding a 14-11 lead. MCC eventually pulled even before the Eagles pulled away late, sealing the win.

Windom then took command of the third set, jumping to the lead and rolling to a 25-12 win.

Carlson went 13-of-14 serving with three aces. Porath was 9-of-9 with three aces and Pigman went 14-of-14 with an ace in the match.

Porath led the Eagles at the net with 19 kills. Hacker added seven.
