As one of only a couple of Class A schools, the Windom Eagles had their hands full at Saturday's Lions Meet of Champions, held at Alexandria.
The Eagle boys finished in 21st place with 617 points. Class AA powerhouse Stillwater won the team title with 67 points.
The Eagle girls finished with an incomplete team score. Willmar won the team title with 58 points.
Individually, the Eagle boys were led by Patrick Green, who finished 112th with a time of 18:44. Cameron Alm was close behind, finishing 116th (18:46) and Daniel Green was 121st (19:06). Gil Parent placed 136th (19:56) and Daniel Pastrnak was 137th (20:00).
For the girls, Gracie Bucher led the way, placing 93rd (22:23). Jordyn Alm finished 106th (23:32), followed by Eliana Tade in 110th (23:48) and Jadyn Wormstadt in 113th (24:02).
Swain Invite The Mt. Lake Area boys cross country team placed eighth with 257 team points in the Class A portion of the Swain Invitational, held Saturday in Duluth.
North Shore won the team title with 115 points.
MLA's girls ran in the junior varsity and junior high races and did not have any varsity runners.
For the Wolverine boys, Nathan Runck finished sixth overall, finishing in 17:53. Dalton Piotter placed 12th (18:28), followed by Ryan Blomgren in 27th (19:00). Emilio Garcia de la Cruz was 82nd (19:56) and Emmanuel Fentanez placed 136th (21:00).
