Windom 25-25-25 = 3 RRC 20-14-16 = 0 The Windom Eagle volleyball team took control halfway through the opening set and never lost momentum Tuesday night, claiming a 3-0 sweep over Red Rock Central at Lamberton.
The first set was back-and-forth until the closing points before the Eagles pulled away with a five-point run.
The Eagles then took control of the second and third sets with early scoring runs.
Windom had a big night at the net from Maurissa Isaacs, who finished with 11 kills and three solo blocks. Porsha Porath added 11 kills and one block. Katelyn Nichols had five kills and two blocks and Tori Chrioffer finished with four kills.
Emily Steen led the Eagles at the service line, going 14-of-14 with five aces. Porath went 9-for-9 serving with two aces. Isaacs added two aces on 5-of-7 serving.
Becca Hacker finished with 14 set assists. Halle Jackson had 11 assists. Steen had a team-best nine digs.
For RRC, Hannah DeCock finished with six kills. Nicole Schroepfer added five and Katelyn Rogotzke and Vanessa Kedl had four each.
Kennedi Janssen went 12-of-12 serving with an ace. Kaitlyn Rindfleisch was 7-of-8 with an ace. Rindfleisch added two solo blocks.
Janssen finished with 14 set assists. Haley Simonson had a team-high 16 digs.
Springfield 22-20-22 = 0 WWG 25-25-25 = 3 Westbrook-Walnut Grove had a strong night at the service line Tuesday, claiming a 3-0 sweep over Springfield at Westbrook.
Grace Woelber fired six ace serves on 23-of-27 serving. Gracie Wahl went 12-of-12 with two aces and Talitha Horkey was 11-of-12 with two aces.
Horkey led the Chargers with eight kills and one solo block. Brittany Erickson added seven and Camryn Bunting had six kills and one block.
Woelber finished with 20 set assists. Emma Wahl had a team-high 23 digs.
