Windom 000 002 0 = 2-3-2 RV 000 001 0 = 1-6-3 The Windom Eagle baseball team rallied in the top of the sixth inning Thursday to claim a 2-1 victory over Redwood Valley at Redwood Falls.
The Eagles scored both their runs and had all three of their hits in the top of the sixth inning. Eric Pfeffer hit a one-out single and scored when Luke Gilbertson reached on a fielder's choice. After a Kobe Lovell single, Gilbertson then scored on the back end of a double steal.
Redwood answered with a run in the bottom of the sixth and put the tying run at second base in both the sixth and seventh innings before the Eagles worked out of jams.
Gilbertson picked up the pitching win, working the final four innings in relief. He allowed three hits and struck out five.
