Eagle boys roll to title in Mt. Lake

ML Insurance Services Invite
The Windom Eagle boys track team ran away with the title at Thursday's Mt. Lake Insurance Services-Mitch Schroeder Agency Invite, held at Munson Field in Mt. Lake.

The Eagle boys finished with 218 points. Mt. Lake Area was second with 116. Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central finished fourth with 76.

For the girls, Madelia/Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain won the meet title with 146 points. Windom took second with 112. WWG/RRC was fourth with 69 and MLA finished sixth with 50.

Individually, Windom was led by Isaac Tade, who claimed wins in the 100 (12.03) and 400 (53.63). He was also second in the 200 (24.74).

John Irwin added wins in the 800 (2:10.01) and 1,600 (4:46.10). Dylan Colbert added a win in the discus (108-5) and Wyatt Minion won the high jump (5-2).

Windom added wins in the 4x100 (48.71), 4x400 (3:46.27) and 4x800 (8:56.51).

Gil Parent placed second in the 100 (12.39). Nickolas Green was second in the 3,200 (10:37.90). Daniel Green was second in the 300 hurdles (47.99). Yanick Tade placed second in the pole vault (11-0).

The Eagle girls were led by double-event winner Delaney Smith, who claimed first in the shot put (35-7) and discus (106-4). Lindsay Muller added a win in the pole vault (7-0). The Eagles added a win in the 4x800 relay (10:47.09).

Gracie Bucher was second in the 800 (2:35.72). Christianna Green took second in the 3,200 (13:02.86). Emily Steen was second in the discus (85-1). Windom was second in the 4x100 (56.78).

MLA's boys were led by double-event winner Joel Salgado, who took first in the 110 hurdles (18.92) and 300 hurdles (47.70). Hunter Dahna added a win in the shot put (42-9). Ethan Klassen was second in the 110 hurdles (20.31). Ruben Fentanez took second in the shot put (39-8). Reynaldo Capetillo finished second in the long jump (16-8½). Kris Menken was second in the high jump (5-2).

MLA's girls were led by Jenneel Rodney's runner-up finishes in both the 100 dash (13.89) and shot put (34-9½).

WWG/RRC's boys were led by Nathan Runck, who won the 3,200 (10:26.92) and was second in the 1,600 (4:57.26). Koua Vang won the pole vault (11-6). Yang Xiong finished second in the discus (108-4).

WWG/RRC's girls were led by double-event winner Ramsey Piotter, who finished first in the 300 hurdle (50.62) and triple jump (32-2) and placed second in the long jump (14-10). Rachel Kedl finished tied for second in the 100 dash (13.89) and was second in the high jump (4-8). Mariah Hicks, in her first meet back from injury, placed second in the pole vault (7-0).
