Eagles top Raiders Monday
Wolverines sweep Panthers Tuesday

Mt. Lake Area got key contributions throughout the lineup Tuesday to claim a 3-0 sweep at Ellsworth.

Signey Stoesz and Carmen Syverson each fired a pair of ace serves in the win. Syverson went 12-of-12 from the line while Stoesz was 19-of-22.

Jordan Syverson had a team-high eight kills. Maggie Wahdan had six kills. Carmen Syverson finished with three blocks. Rachel Dukes had 15 set assists and two blocks. Mikayla Falk had a team-high 13 digs.

WWG 29-18-20-27 = 1

Westbrook-Walnut Grove jumped to an early lead and nearly forced a deciding fifth set, but Southwest Minnesota Christian rallied in the fourth set to claim a tight 3-1 victory over the Chargers at Westbrook.

WWG had a strong night from the service line, led by Madison Takle's 18-of-19 performance with six aces. Cassidy Mischke was 19-of-20 with three aces and Abby Herding was 17-of-17 with two aces.

Dayna Comnick led the offense with 20 kills. Liz Woelber finished with 24 digs. Herding finished with 36 set assists.

After a rough day Saturday at the JCC Tournament, the Windom Eagles got back on track Monday night, rolling to a 3-0 sweep at Fulda.

The Eagles were able to keep the Raiders off-balance with their serve, which allowed Windom to take commanding leads early in the first and third sets.

Kelsey Hanefeld led the Eagles, going 13-of-13 serving with three aces. She added a team-high nine kills.

Rachel Sorensen was 11-of-11 serving with two aces and had seven kills. Porsha Porath added six kills.

Miki Bolin tallied 21 set assists. Jasmine Carlson had a team-high 13 digs.
