Bobcats' unbeaten season ends
Bobcats 56, Arrows 10 Saints 30, Bobcats 26 The undefeated season for Wabasso-Red Rock Central came to a stunning conclusion Saturday when the Bobcats fell 30-26 in the Section 3A championship match to Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg at Benson.
The Bobcats advanced to the finals with a 56-10 win over Pipestone. Earning falls for the Bobcats were Mitchell Fulton (106), Derek Christians (126), Dominic Ourada (152), Brady Bierl (182), Jordan Schroepfer (195) and Alex Schroepfer (285). Spencer Jenniges (113) and Josh Altermatt (120) won major decisions and T.J. Fulton (132), Tanner Rohlik (145), Mitchell Schroepfer (160) and Blake Altermatt (170) won decisions.
In the finals, the Bobcats jumped to an early lead behind decision wins by Mitchell Fulton (106) and Jenniges (113). KMS answered with a decision at 120, a major decision at 126 and a fall at 132 in a match the Bobcats were leading going into the third period.
WRRC battled back with a technical fall from T.J. Fulton (130), a major decision by Tanner Rohlik (145) and a decision by Mitchell Schroepfer (152). KMS won a pair of major decisions at 160 and 170 before Jordan Schroepfer won a decision at 182.
But KMS won a decision at 195, then won a fall at 220 to seal the victory. Alex Schroepfer closed the match with a fall at heavyweight for WRRC.

Cobras 33, Knights 22 Wolverines 38, Cobras 22 The Windom-Mt. Lake wrestling team stunned top-seeded Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Area Saturday to advance to the Section 4A championship match at Norwood. But in the finals, Sibley East got off to a strong start and picked up big points in the middle of the lineup to claim a 38-23 win over the Cobras, earning a trip to the State Class A Team Tournament.
In the opening match, the Cobras earned decisions at the first two weights by Wyatt Stevens and Joe Fischenich. WML then got a decision win by Jared Willaby to take a 9-6 lead.
LCWMA won a decision and a fall to take a 15-9 lead, but the Cobras reeled off three straight wins: a decision by Clay Hockel (145), a fall by Ben Matter (152) and an overtime decision by Andrew Larson (160) to take a 21-15 lead.
LCWMA won a major decision by 170, but the Cobras' Jake Junker won a decision at 182. Aaron Flatgard won a decision at 195 and Vince Johnson sealed the win with a fall at 220.
That sent the Cobras to the finals against Sibley East. Unlike their previous meeting, the Cobras struggled out of the blocks. Sibley East won decisions at 106 and 113 before Fischenich won a major decision at 120. Willaby followed with a decision win at 126, giving the Cobras their only lead of the match.
Sibley East answered with a technical fall at 132 and falls at 138 and 145. Matter (152) stopped the bleeding with a major decision win at 152 and Larson followed with a decision win at 160, but the Wolverines won a fall at 170 and a decision at 182. The Cobras' Johnson won a decision at 195, but the deficit was too great to overcome. After a fall at 220 for the Wolverines, Neil Litfin wrapped up the match with a fall at heavyweight.
