Tigers race past Eagle girls

Marshall 48-26 = 72
Windom 18-22 = 40

A rough first half proved to be the Windom Eagles' downfall Thursday night as the team fell 72-40 to Marshall at Windom.

Marshall improved to 10-0 in Southwest Conference play with the win.

The Eagles sputtered from the field and struggled with turnovers against the Tigers' tight defense. That allowed Marshall to race to a 48-18 halftime advantage.

Gina Hauge led the Eagles with nine points in the loss. Rachel Sorensen scored eight - all in the second half - and Kelsey Hanefeld added six points.
