Cobras fall to Huskies
Huskies 43, Cobras 25
Jackson County Central clinched the Southwest Conference wrestling title outright Friday night, claiming a 43-25 win over Windom-Mt. Lake at Jackson.
The Cobras jumped to the early lead with a technical fall by Wyatt Stevens (106) and a decision win by Joe Fischenich (113), but JCC won the next four weights, including a pair of falls, to take a 19-8 lead.
Clay Hockel (145) won a major decision to cut the deficit to 19-12, but consecutive pins by the Huskies essentially pushed the lead out of reach for the Cobras.
Gavin Mutz (170) won a decision. Vince Johnson (195) added a fall and Neil Litfin (285) added a major decision win.
