MCC 20-16 = 36 RRC 33-19 = 52 Red Rock Central senior Henry Rogotzke scored 16 points to surpass the 1,000-point mark of his career, leading the Falcons to a 52-36 win over Murray County Central Thursday night in Lamberton.
Rogotzke hit the milestone with a driving baseline lay-up early in the second half. He added nine rebounds and four blocked shots in the win.
The Falcons raced to a 12-0 lead to start the game and never looked back, as MCC would get no closer than seven points the rest of the game.
Jeff DeCock led RRC with 24 points and added 10 rebounds and seven assists.
HBC 33-33 = 66 WWG 35-29 = 64 A 12-foot jumper by Jeff Sandbulte with 1.6 seconds left on the clock proved to be the difference Thursday as Hills-Beaver Creek edged Westbrook-Walnut Grove 66-64 at Westbrook.
The Patriots rallied from a two-point halftime deficit behind 23 points by Sandbulte.
Four Chargers scored in double figures in the loss, led by 18 points by Alex Knutson. Taylor Lindaman added 16, followed by Shane Buchman with 12 and Aaron Hass with 10.
Wolverines 66, Blackhawks 44 Mt. Lake Area captured its 13th consecutive victory Thursday night, improving to 13-2 overall with a 66-44 win at Madelia.
The Wolverines pounded the ball inside, getting 21 points from Carter Kirk in the win. The rest of the squad showed plenty of balance, with Cody Klassen adding 11 points in the victory.
