Cobras take second at LCWM; Bobcats have milestone win
Bobcats give Hindt milestone victory
Bobcats go 4-0 at Luverne
Saturday was a milestone day for the Wabasso-Red Rock Central program as the team went 4-0 at the Luverne Duals.

Co-Head Coach Gary Hindt surpassed 700 career coaching victories with the Bobcats' 56-6 win over Luverne in the third match of the day. The 701 career wins puts Hindt in third place all-time in the state, according to The Guillotine. He has more wins than any active coach in the state.

WRRC opened the day with a 61-14 win over Sioux Falls Lincoln. The Bobcats then defeated Sheldon-South O'Brien (Iowa) 66-12, topped Luverne 56-6 and defeated Brandon Valley (SD) 50-16 to remain undefeated in dual meets for the season.

Cobras second at LCWM
The Windom-Mt. Lake Cobra wrestling team crowned one champion at Saturday's Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Tournament in Lake Crystal.

The Cobras finished in second place with 201 team points. LCWM won the tournament with 214½ points.

Jared Willaby captured the title at 126 pounds for the Cobras. Willaby opened with a fall and a decision. He then won an 8-4 decision over Trent Butcher of Chaska-Chanhassen to win the title.

Four Cobras earned runner-up honors. At 106, Wyatt Stevens won a fall and a major decision, but lost a 9-7 overtime decision to Austin Anderly of LeSueur-Henderson in the finals.

At 113, Joe Fischenich won a pair of falls, but was pinned in 46 seconds by Jarred Oftedahl of Benilde-St. Margaret's in the finals.

At 160, Andrew Larson won a pair of falls, but lost by technical fall to Adam Cooling of Madelia-Truman in the finals.

At 182, Vince Johnson won a fall and a decision before falling 5-2 in the finals to Christian Dulaney of Benilde.

Earning third-place honors for the Cobras were Ben Matter (152), Jake Junker (170), Aaron Flatgard (220) and Neil Litfin (285). Hunter Quiring (120) finished in fifth place.

Cobras 44, Tigers 27
Windom-Mt. Lake stayed undefeated in Southwest Conference dual matches Friday night with a 44-27 win over Marshall at Windom.

The Cobras jumped to a 15-0 lead and pushed the lead to 44-12 before Marshall won the final three weights.

Earning falls for the Cobras were Hunter Quiring (106), Joe Fischenich (120), Ben Matter (152) and Jake Junker (170). Jacob Suess (138) and Vince Johnson (182) won major decisions. Wyatt Stevens (113) and Jared Willaby (132) won decisions and the Cobras added one forfeit win.
