Weather is factor in delay for 'jake brake' signs

(Today's updates: 9 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 3 p.m.)

Windom's new warning signs regarding jake braking have been delayed by the weather, according to City Administrator Steve Nasby.

Nasby told the city council last night that MnDOT officials had informed him the signs were delayed first by the late winter and then by the wet spring conditions. However, he is confident that the signs will be in place soon.

"We will get a map to MnDOT fairly soon (regarding sign locations)," Nasby told the council.
