County officials take applications for engineer

Cottonwood County officials are receiving applications for the soon-to-be-vacant county engineer/public works director position.

Current County Engineer JinYeene Neumann recently resigned to take a similar position in Carlton County, which is closer to her hometown and family. The county will advertise the position until April 28.

When Neumann was hired, four years ago, there were six applicants for the position. County officials hope to have a new county engineer in place by sometime in July.
