Citizen Online has learned that the former Towlerton Motors property has been sold to Glen Francis, owner of Ag Builders and GDF Enterprises.
"That will be the future home of Ag Builders and GDF Enterprises," Francis, a Windom resident, said this morning. "We have a lot of work to do there this spring and summer. I'm guessing it will probably be six months before we can move in."
However, Francis added that folks will begin to see changes at the site - which is located at the north junction of Highways 60 and71 in Windom - as early as this today or Tuesday. He said Hometown Sanitation is getting set to move its dumpster display to another location. Once that move is finished, Ag Builders and GDF Enterprises will begin to set up equipment displays at the site.
In the meantime, Francis is preparing for significant changes inside and outside of the 38,000-square-foot property.
"We have some demolition that needs to happen and a lot of clean-up to do inside," Francis said.
Ag Builders offers grain handling systems, bins, buildings and other construction. GDF Enterprises handles sales and service for Bobcat, Toro and Aluma trailers.
