County now accepting electronic real estate document submissions

Kathleen Kretsch, County Recorder, announced today that Cottonwood County has begun to electronically record, or "eRecord," real estate and land use records.

Electronic document recording allows recording offices to reduce costs, eliminate payment errors, receive prompt payment and increase staff productivity.

Document submitters benefit from shorter wait times, fewer document rejections, faster rejection handling and more secure transmission of documents.

"We're pleased to offer this new benefit to submitters of land records," Kretsch says. "We're confident that electronic submitters will experience faster recordation of their documents and fewer rejections."

For more on the new service, see the story in the Feb. 6 issue of the Cottonwood County Citizen on newsstands tomorrow.
