Windom school board to consider Friday late starts

It appears the Windom school district may return to having one late start per week.

At tonight's regular meeting, the board is expected to consider a recommendation to institute 9 a.m. late starts on Fridays. Under the plan, teachers would still report at 7:30 a.m. and continue their professional learning community work until 8:45 a.m.

The big change from last year's late starts is that it would occur on Friday, rather than Wednesday. School officials say the reason for the switch is to give consistency of instruction in grades k-3 for four consecutive days.

For the result of this meeting check this week's Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
