Big Buddies joins nationwide effort to spread Kindness Rocks
Don't be surprised if you find a painted rock sitting on the counter of a business, or in a windowsill of public place, with a picture or words on it. In fact, you're encouraged to pick it up and check the bottom of the rock.
If it has a small tag with the "Big Buddies" logo and a message, do what it says.
In short - and as the tag says - "Keep the Kindness Going!"
What kindness, you ask?
For starters, the kindness on the top side of the rock, like the message issued by Beth Scrivens: "BeYoutiful: When you can be anything . . . Be Yourself!"
Or the message on a red-painted, heart-shaped rock, written by her 10-year-old daughter, Kaede: "follow your HEART."
They are simple messages of kindness - Kindness Rocks.
"You paint some rocks and write a quote on it, or a little picture - make it however you want it to look," explains Serena Lynch, coordinator of Jackson-Cottonwood Big Buddies. "They're called Kindness Rocks."
