3/20/2017 4:03:00 PM Hospital to host blood drive March 27
Windom Area Hospital will host a community blood drive on Monday, March 27.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 pm to 5 p.m. All blood donations will directly benefit the local blood supply and patients in need at the hospital.
"Donating blood on the bloodmobile is an easy way to save the lives of patients in the community" states Ken Versteeg, executive director, Community Blood Bank. "The need for blood has been extremely high in the last weeks. With many accidents and trauma's occurring, blood usage has been up by 15%. We encourage community members who are well and healthy to consider donating blood during this difficult time to keep supplies at healthy levels."
