Eagle spikers sweep Luverne
Falcon senior hits milestone in win

A milestone night for Red Rock Central senior Brooke Rasmussen sparked the Falcons to a 3-0 sweep at Adrian Thursday night.

Rasmussen, the Falcons' senior libero, finished with 19 digs in the match, putting her over the 1,000 career dig mark.

Olivia Bittner fired six serves on 12-of-15 serving for the Falcons. Taylor Willhite was 8-of-8 with three aces. Mikaela Smith was 13-of-13 with an ace and Cassandra Erickson was 11-of-12 with two aces.

Offensively, Erickson led the way with 11 kills. Bittner added nine and Hannah Sell finished with five. Smith handed out 28 set assists.

Mt. Lake Area picked up its second straight Red Rock Conference win Thursday night, sweeping past Hills-Beaver Creek 3-0 at Mt. Lake.

Jordan Syverson led the Wolverine offense with 10 kills. Mikayla Falk was 19-of-19 serving and finished with 20 digs. Rachel Dukes finished with 26 set assists in the win.

WWG 25-25-25 = 3
Fulda 20-19-10 = 0

Westbrook-Walnut Grove bombed away from the service line and at the net Thursday, rolling to a 3-0 sweep at Fulda.

Abby Herding was 29-of-29 serving with eight aces. She added 26 set assists and 16 digs.

Dayna Comnick led the Falcon offense with 18 kills. Madison Takle added six kills.

Alexa Byers and Takle each added a pair of ace serves in the win.

The Windom Eagle volleyball team stayed unbeaten in Southwest Conference play Thursday night, claiming a 3-0 sweep over Luverne at Windom.

Rachel Sorensen spearheaded the Eagle offense Thursday, finishing with a team-best 15 kills.

Jasmine Carlson led the Eagles at the service line, going 14-of-14 with two aces. Alyssa Fast was 11-of-11 with two aces.

Miki Bolin finished with 30 set assists. Carlson finished with 15 digs.
