set to finish brush clean-up
It appears Windom's citywide brush and tree limb clean-up project is nearing the finish line.
This morning, Windom Street Superintendent Bruce Caldwell announced that city crews will finish hauling brush off the boulevards this week.
"Absolutely no more brush can be placed on the boulevards," Caldwell said. "Many residents piled brush on the boulevard after the deadline and much of that brush did not have ice damage. Because of this the street and parks departments are behind schedule with spring clean-up and the parks must be cleaned as soon as possible due to park activities now beginning.
"If the staff determines some of these brush piles were placed on the boulevards after the April 22 deadline those piles will not be hauled away and it will be the property owners responsibility to removed it at their expense."
