Ticket buyers can still save $5 on tonight's Taste of Home event in Windom
A delicious array of vendors and activities awaits folks who take in tonight's Taste of Home Cooking event in Windom.
Tickets will be sold at the Windom Community Center, the site of this popular event. However, folks can save $5 by buying them in advance.
In this case, "advance" means before 3 p.m. on the day of the event. Details on how to buy tickets can be found at the end of this story.
Thursday's event, which is sponsored by Citizen Publishing Company, begins at 4 p.m. It appears there will be 20 vendors on hand.
While receiving their special bag of "goodies" and samples, guests will immediately receive a key "vendor sheet." Once they get each of the vendors to sign their sheet, they will be entered in a drawing for $50 in Chamber Bucks.
If you don't win that prize, there will be other opportunities. Throughout the night door prizes will be given away, including: Toro products, gift certificates, national sponsor giveaways, baskets and food is made by culinary specialist Karen Davis at Thursday's cooking show.
Early arrivers also will have the first chance to try the Hy-Vee meal featuring a wrap, fruit cup, cookie and beverage for $5. The cooking show, led by Davis, begins at 7 p.m.
